last night you added to your collection of drafts 3 times within an hour. last night you finally finished organizing and editing photos from last week. last night you weren't happy but you weren't exactly sad. last night you didn't sleep that well. but hey, you got to sleep in and then you had a fantastic cup of coffee while listening to groban. so what if last night was a bad memory. today you've seen the sun shine and felt the mist of a giant waterfall on your face. today you ate an entire foot long from subway and today you visited the glacier from far away. today you finally got to see what the mountains really look like and today you found a relient k and josh groban cd at a thrift store for a buck, perfect condition.

today you might be dreading tonight, maybe just because you know how you get at night.
but the sun is so bright so you're gonna be happy for as long as you can and you're gonna keep mayer on repeat cos the sun sets late in alaska.

xx- don't beat yourself up so much, k?

  1. <3 <3 <3 did you know you're my favorite? because you are. I just wanted to make sure I told you that.
    and I love you.
    that is all.

  2. I second that last line, don't beat yourself up so much ;) But for reals, life is too short.

Beautiful photo, so glad you are having such adventures!

  3. You should definitely listen to yourself; don't beat yourself up. And remember that God is always holding you in His hands. :) Sometimes, if I read a chapter in a book before I go to bed, it helps clear my thoughts and makes it easy to sleep at night. I don't know if that'll work for you, but its just suggestion. :) I don't know how similar we are, but I used to get down during the nights mainly because I thought so much. Which made it hard to sleep. But then one night, after my family and I watched our tv shows we like to watch... I just decided to read. And after I was done reading, it was late enough that I was too tired to think and I slept fine, and I still do that. I haven't ahd a bad night in ages.

  4. Mayer has a way of soothing the soul. Especially anything off of "Continuum." Namely, "The Heart of Life" and "Don't Trust Myself."

I hope you were talking about John Mayer? haha if not, that is embarrassing.

I really liked the "you know how you get at night" part. Night time is the best and the worst, because it's when everything catches up with you. I hope you are doing alright.
