simple- a message to myself

Romans 5:1-5
5. Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

it's simple, really. just don't let yourself get distracted and unbalanced. wake up from the haze. wake up to the hope. stop beating yourself down. stop finding your thrills in things that don't last.
but don't ever stop persevering, k?

  1. A reminder at just the right time. Thank you. And I love your blog, by the way. :)

  3. =)
    This is perfect.
    I've been reading your last couple posts, and, well, been sorta feeling the same way...funny thing is- I've some to the same conclusion! =D Keeping the balance- not getting distracted from what God has for me that day, and yeah, that kind of self-fulfilling haze.
    I found Romans 5 : 3-5 particularly uplifting: "More than that we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, endurance produces character, and character hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us."

    And, that picture of your dog is adorable.

    But you probably already knew that.

    ...I just wanted to say it anyway. =)

    xx ~Jenny
